How co-op works in We Were Here Tomorrow

The We Were Here games are built on one idea: the two of you are separated, and each of you can only see half of every puzzle. One player might find a machine covered in strange symbols while the other has the notes that explain what the symbols mean. You solve it by talking, using the in-game walkie-talkie.

That is also why there is no split screen. If you could see each other's screen, the puzzles would stop being puzzles.

Playing across platforms

Because crossplay works from day one, you and your partner do not need to be on the same platform. A PC player can team up with a friend on PlayStation or Xbox. The developer has not yet explained how you invite someone on a different platform; we will add step-by-step instructions here once the game is out.

Can we play in the same room?

Yes, as long as each of you has your own device. Many pairs play side by side, but try not to peek at each other's screen: half the fun is describing things badly and figuring them out anyway.
