15-button puzzle (G-46 / G-46C)
Last updated:
Looking for the We Were Here Tomorrow 15-button puzzle solution? The G-46 / G-46C symbol panel sits in Chapter 5’s Temporal Research Centre — one of the highest-traffic stuck points after launch. Hint and Solution stay separated below.
Where this is
Chapter 5 · Temporal Research Centre. Steam guides title it the 15-button puzzle or G-46 / G-46C symbol panel — one of the highest-traffic stuck points after launch.
What kind of puzzle
Asymmetric symbol / panel work: one player sees labels or a reference the other cannot. You must read aloud precisely; guessing all 15 is slower than agreeing on a callout system first.
Hint
Name a grid position system before pressing (row/column or clock positions). The reader should spell symbols slowly; the presser confirms each click. If the panel rejects a near-correct sequence, reset and restart from the first agreed symbol rather than “fixing” the end.
Solution (spoiler — community fixed positions)
- G-46B (reader side): Set the lever(s) / dial so the pointer sits in the blue zone before pressing buttons. Sources disagree dial-vs-two-levers; all agree on blue.
- G-46C (15 buttons, 3×5): Count rows from the top, columns from the left. Press row 1 col 3, row 1 col 4, row 2 col 2, row 3 col 3. Four lamps above the panel light when correct.
- Glyph art beside buttons can redraw after a reset — trust positions, not a video’s symbol faces. If lamps stay dark, clear and re-read rather than “fixing.” Patch 1.1.2 brick: reload checkpoint.

Frequently asked questions
What is the G-46 puzzle in We Were Here Tomorrow?
The Temporal Research Centre symbol panel players call the 15-button puzzle or G-46 / G-46C: asymmetric symbol work where one Explorer reads a reference the other presses.
Should I copy a button code from a video?
Do not rely on another crew’s screenshot if role mapping differs. Agree on a row/column callout system, use the in-room reference your partner can see, and enter a clean pass.
What if the panel bricks after a near-correct try?
Reset and restart from the first agreed symbol rather than “fixing” the end. After Patch 1.1.2, reload the checkpoint if interactions stick.
